Achievement date: 19 December 2003
Expected achievements:
- Defined the core subject and the target learners for the product.
- Decided on the type of tools to be used.
- Agreed all the above after Ethos has consulted with each partner.
- Formation of disability groups in each partner country, with whom we can consult as the project progresses.
- Carried out initial, but only informal, consultation with representatives of target learners on the options for the project.
- Knowledge of what is on the market on making IT accessible to a range of different learners.
- Knowledge of regulations and legislation in each partner country and also of European directives and European Commission requirements.
- Support and active participation of Macromedia or other key software supplier.

Expected achievements
- Received recommendations from each national disability forum about content, access, market need, level, duration, and the technical support which is needed and is available.
- Identification of one representative for each disability interest group, as defined by agreed proposal. Held at least one group meeting.
- Clear specifications for font, colour and appearance – to standards which comply with disability regulations.
- Produced a consultation draft in English, in which IT tools are structured.
- Defined technical parameters for learning hub (held with Ethos) and CD.
- Decision made on what multi-media content should be developed.
